At Máquina, our logo incorporates the hands to remind us of our humanity and the role it plays in everything we do. Hands create and provide. Our hands bring joy, pain, gifts, and sorrows. Hands symbolize hard work, persistence, love, and nurturing.

We’ve decided to use hands—a visual representation of the Máquina brand—as an opportunity to collaborate with local artists. These artists and their beautiful and unique interpretations of how our hands, our work, and love can be communicated through art is something we're honored to share with you.

If you’re an artist or a brand that would like to do a collaboration with Máquina, send us an email: gabriel@maquinacoffee.com.

We ventured outside of the “hands” collaboration to work with a very special legendary artist, Phil Roberts, for our máquina Pride & Roaster tee.

An artist with unlimited potential effortlessly tapping into the Creative Source and bundles of enthusiasm to share it, Phil Roberts was born this way. Phil's life mission to inspire through art was as clear as day since the day he picked up a pencil as a child. Four decades later, he still has that child-like spark for doing what he does best. Phil started out airbrush painting surf scenes on surfboards at age 15 in Florida for some of surfing's legendary champions. That led to being in surf magazines, which led to a 40-year career in Hollywood, illustrating movie posters for the studios of Paramount, Disney, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., and many independents. Phil's specialty is portraiture in any and every medium. The love for immortalizing the extraordinary human beings he portrays provides an endless energy source that fuels the fire of his life's mission until the day he drops.

Forrest Hines creates moody, dark, and line-heavy illustrations that remind us of the hard work it takes to create anything and produce coffee specifically. It spoke to us through the creases and folds in the hands and paid attention to the intricacies of work and labors of love. His work is visceral as if you could hear the sounds of knuckles cracking on the hand as they handle a coffee fruit.
